the dunleavy decline

Governor Dunleavy has spent the past seven years picking fights and failing to deliver on his promises. Meanwhile, our education system is crumbling, costs are going up, the state budget is in crisis, and people are leaving Alaska in droves.

Most Alaskans think the state is heading in the wrong direction. Rather than offer up any real plan of his own, or get on board with bipartisan efforts to tackle Alaska’s problems, Governor Dunleavy is causing Alaska’s decline.

education decline

Alaska schools are in crisis after years of underfunding by the State. For the past several years, members of the bipartisan coalitions in the state legislature have worked together to advance much-needed education funding. Each time, Governor Dunleavy has stood in the way, vetoing popular, bipartisan legislation that would fund our schools.

Now, local school districts across the state are being forced to close schools, increase class sizes, and lay off educators.

what are we doing?

Better Jobs for Alaska has launched a campaign to hold Governor Dunleavy accountable for the decline of Alaska’s schools under his watch.
